“The Supersportscar Conversion,” by AlexCroft, adapts functional vehicles from The Sims 2 to The Sims 4 by importing original models and animations. The cars function as usable objects with social interactions, mood states, and dedicated visual and audio effects, allowing Sims to travel outside the residential lot. Currently in beta, its implementation requires managing object states and overriding movement protocols, which results in limitations regarding character persistence during travel and the synchronization of arrival animations—challenges inherent to porting mechanics between different graphics engines.
