In an unmodded game, a Sim in a relationship doesn't consider their loyalty or desire for exclusivity when being flirted with. This mod changes that. Inspired by simler90's "Better Romance" but built from the ground up, this mod introduces new mechanics that take into account a Sim's relationship status, proximity to their partner, loyalty, tendency to cheat, and traits to determine how they'll react to romantic advances.

I recommend using this mod with Jealousy Reactions & Fixes for a more dynamic gamplay experience.

Relationship Status Awareness

• Committed Sims Are More Faithful: Sims in exclusive relationships are now less likely to accept romantic interactions from non-partners.
• Proximity Matters: The mod considers whether the target Sim of a romantic interaction is near their partner, further reducing the chance of accepting romantic advances if they are.
• Unphased by Partner's Presence: Sims with traits like Player, Shameless, Oblivious (by Kuttoe), and Polyamorous (by TURBODRIVER) are just as likely to accept romantic interactions, even if their partner is in the room.
• More Reserved Near Romanced Sims: Sims with traits like Proper, Good, and Compassionate will be less likely to accept romantic interactions when near other Sims they've romanced.

Loyalty, Cheating, and Exclusitivty

• Loyal Sims Resist Temptation: Sims with traits such as Loyal, Eternal Bond, and Good are much less likely than others to cheat on their partners.
• More Receptive to Cheating: Sims with traits or lifestyles like Hungry for Love, Commitment Issues, and Cheater (by TURBODRIVER) are more receptive to cheating on their partners, though most will still think twice with their partner in the room.
• Exclusivity Values Considered: The mod takes into account whether a Sim values emotional or physical exclusivity and whether they are aware of the relationship status of the Sim initiating romance with them.

Additonal Features

• Public Interaction Sensitivity: The mod adds considerations for romantic interactions in public places for Sims with traits like Proper and Socially Anxious (by Scarlet/Kuttoe), making them behave more conservatively in public settings.
• Independent and Guarded Sims: Sims who aren't looking for romance now push back on it. The Single and Loving It lifestyle, Unflirty, Fear of Intimacy, Low Self-Esteem, and Insecure (by Kuttoe) all make a Sim less receptive to advances.
• Alluring Visage Power Fixed: Similar to simler90's mod, tests for the Alluring Visage power have been corrected, ensuring it functions as intended.
• Celebrity Fame Dynamics Enhanced: Tests for Celebrity Fame differentials have been fixed, providing the intended experience between Sims of differing fame levels.
• Wants and Fears Influence: A Sim's Wants and Fears now affect romance success scoring.
• Hygiene Preference Overhaul: Hygiene checks now reflect Sims’ preferences and turn-ons. Some Sims may like poor hygiene, while others are more negatively affected, especially for physical interactions.
• Loneliness and Dissatisfaction: Sims who fear being alone, or who are unhappy with their current relationship, are more open to romantic advances.
