ABOUT
Take a hike (Snowy Escape required), or go on a power walk, regular stroll, or jog (Growing Together required) with multiple Sims at once! This mod adds all four activities as terrain interactions—just click a spot on the ground and choose which Sims you want to join.
The mod also includes a script fix that attempts (though it isn't always guaranteed) to let Sims cancel a walk without getting stuck on an extremely long forced route around the world. What makes these group trails unique is that participating Sims are tied to an invisible object (using the same system as animal objects and robot vacuums). However, this object is very strict and does not release any of the Sims it's linked to if one of them cancels the interaction.
Club/Getaway/Custom Venue activities are made to count my mod interactions into all of them. But just like vanilla ones, they're not made autonomous; you must initiate them yourself.
KNOWN ISSUES
- Due to the complexity of routing, Sims may occasionally have issues navigating certain areas. For example, in tighter corners they may clip through objects or each other. These are vanilla routing issues and are not unique to this mod.
- Dogs are blacklisted from these walks because, based on extensive testing, they introduce more routing issues than I can reasonably account for.
- Because of the script fix mentioned above, I recommend avoiding cancelling group trails whenever possible and simply letting them finish naturally.
- To reduce routing lag at the start of a trail, try gathering your Sims together first and using Go Here Together before beginning the walk. This helps prevent Sims from taking long routes to reach the starting point. It's simply part of the nature of a life simulation game.
